Update:
According to MPD the deceased was Jesse Abney, 20 from Milton. Officials said the incident was not a hit and run as Abney was laying in the road when he was hit by a car. The driver did not have a cell phone and drove to a nearby business to call police. The death is under investigation.
At 3:30 a.m. this morning Milton Police Department responded to a call on Dogwood Drive near the intersection of Westwood Drive for a person laying in the roadway who wasn't breathing. Reports said a white male in his early 20s appeared to have been struck by a vehicle. The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene by local emergency medical staff. The subject's identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
