On August 27, sheriff’s deputies responded to the home invasion robbery in Gulf Breeze. In which, the victim had been attacked by the four individuals after previously making contact with Caudle via email and text in response to a post on the Craigslist website.

In a previously published article in the Press Gazette, the victim told authorities the home invasion occurred after  Caudle arrived at the home with one of the individuals. The victim was then ambushed at the home, while being distracted by Caudle. During the incident, the victim was placed in choke hold, beaten and kicked by the assailants who left the home with $300 in cash, a suitcase with16 firearms and the victim’s cell phone.

The victim gave a description of the assailants and their vehicle to the deputies on scene, who then put out a ‘Be On the Look Out’ alert on a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica. Officers with the Gulf Breeze Police Department located the traveling vehicle with the individuals, who matched the victim’s description, inside.

The suspect vehicle then disregarded a traffic stop attempt by police, which gave way to a high speed chase. According to the press release, the pursuit reached an excess of speeds of 120 miles per hour. The pursuit ended with the individuals abandoning the vehicle near Texar Drive in Pensacola.

In addition to locating the suspects in the same area, officers also found the suitcase of firearms and ammunition inside the abandoned vehicle.

The investigation and arrest involved the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Pensacola Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Stephen Luongo.
