COLUMBUS — Coastal Bank and Trust March 12 began transitioning to the Synovus brand name. Signage and other legacy branding at all Coastal Bank and Trust branches will be updated with Synovus branding through the end of March.
The Synovus Bank, formerly Coastal Bank and Trust, in Santa Rosa County is located at 4811 Highway 90 in Pace. Coastal Bank and Trust is one of 26 non-Synovus branded bank divisions to complete the footprint-wide brand transition, which will conclude in June 2018.
"Coastal Bank and Trust has been part of Synovus for three decades and we’re proud of the reputation we’ve built as a community-based and customer-focused bank in Pensacola, Valparaiso, and everywhere we operate," Synovus market executive Eddie Norris said. "Adopting the Synovus name while maintaining our local, relationship-centered delivery model will increase awareness of our regional presence, our financial capabilities and our ability to meet the needs of customers and prospects."
Coastal Bank and Trust operates 17 branches in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. Synovus entered the region with the acquisition of Valparaiso-based Vanguard Bank and Trust in 1989 and Bank of Pensacola in 1990, which were later renamed Coastal Bank and Trust. Both acquisitions were among more than 60 that would make Synovus Georgia’s second largest bank, with $31 billion in assets and a presence in five southeastern states.
Synovus Bank, a Georgia-chartered, FDIC-insured bank, provides commercial and retail banking, investment, and mortgage services together with its affiliates through 249 branches in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, Florida, and Tennessee. Synovus Bank was recognized as the "Most Reputable Bank" by American Banker and the Reputation Institute in 2017. Synovus Bank is on the web at synovus.com, and on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Equal Housing Lender
