Tony Alexander, Leadership Santa Rosa (LSR) member, thanked the Santa Rosa County Board of County Commissioners for naming March 26 Leadership Santa Rosa Day. According to Kim Cato-Chalmers, chairperson of LSR and class 18 graduate, this year is class 29. She said every class has a legacy project and this year’s would be the biggest, a memorial at Navarre Beach to the 7 Marines and 4 National Guard soldiers who died in the Blackhawk helicopter crash March 10.
