Speak Out June 10

Thursday

Hi, this is Mike from Milton. I called in last week and I am not very happy about the way you edited my call. You completely ignored my point and that point was that Frank Lay and number of many others don’t live in Milton. They don’t pay city taxes, they can’t vote. So they can stay home and mind their own business. As I stated previously, I served a large portion of my adult life defending people’s rights, but there is concept you all need to understand. Your rights end when they start to infringe on mine.  Just because you wear a cross or some other religious insignia, it does not give you the right to bully others and if you think that I won’t fight back against bullies, then you are very, very wrong. Thanks for listening

Saturday

Yes, this is Jesse in Pace. I am calling about getting some help in cleaning up the side of the road up on Highway 90 to Fowler Drive, when you pull up down some of these side streets like Cooley Drive. You can’t see up and down the road because bushes are hanging so far off the road and over the ditch. It’s beginning to get dangerous. We need to see if we can get somebody to take care of that and cut the grass. Thank you and bye.

This is Mary. A few weeks ago, someone called about loud, obnoxious and rude neighbors. Sounds like thee might be a little bit of drug dealing going on at the house and you could call the Santa Rosa County Commissioner’s Office for a copy of the noise ordinance and they will be glad to send you one. Then use every excuse against the neighbors you can to call the sheriff’s office and talk to the sheriff himself and the district supervisors, the county commissioners, be persistent. Have a deputy knock on their door daily. It will get them to move someplace else. If there is any illegal activity going on, law enforcement welcomes the chance to have just cause to contact those people. It works, I know I have done it. But you have to be persistent and keep on keeping on. Thank you and have good day.
