Speak Out July 4

Tuesday

This is Mary, a concerned senior citizen. As I was watching the news I saw this black woman climb this pole in Charleston, South Carolina to take the confederate flag down off of a federal monument and she took it down and she threw it down and said, “Now I’m free.” That was a crime she committed on federal property and it looks like she’d understand a little bit about what she’s doing. And the ones stirring up this stuff, they need to be stopped. The Confederate flag is not a flag of hate. It’s a flag of history, of our country in a time when the country was divided. People need to get back to the hold history books of America and read them. Thank you.

Wednesday

This is Mary, a concerned senior citizen. I’d like to know how the Supreme Court Justices can declare same-sex marriage in the law in the land on all the states when they are not qualified to make laws. Only Congress, the Senate makes laws. They have not contacted them. They took it on themselves to do this. I think the people need to stat speaking out. I think they need to quit hiding their head in the sand and start standing up for what’s right.

Thursday

This is Harold from Milton. I just wonder what flag will be next since they got that Confederate flag down.
