Speak Out January 24

Tuesday 4:57 p.m.

I live up in Jay. I’m 83 years old and I try to keep the neighborhood looking as good as possible by picking up trash. I have not had a garbage can. Today’s the 20th. It’s 5 p.m. Nobody has picked up garbage today. Which 2 days do we get pick up, or do we actually have any service, or is Jay just a forgotten part of the county? Thank you for letting me get this off my mind. This is the first time I’ve called and probably the last. Thank you. It sounds like they bit off more than they can chew.

Good morning, Rider Ron here. The Clear Creek OHB trail of Munson Florida had its first soft opening January 16, 17, and 18, and guess what. You were right. Its first serious dirt bike accident happened. I hope that person has a lawyer already. The lack of safety oversight from the Florida Forestry Service makes this place a very dangerous park. You can follow this OHB park on Facebook but everything you see or read may not be true. Stay safe and stay home. Thank you.

Yes, this is Bill. I was wondering what’s going on with the new Press Gazette. It seems like it’s getting smaller and smaller. I wonder if the new company is cutting back on expenses. I haven’t seen the arrest report in over two weeks. What’s going on with that? Thank you. Bye.

Wednesday 5:30 p.m.

Yeah, this is Bobby. I was reading the Speak Out column Wednesday and Louise writing about all the trash on Audiss Road and Bagdad Highway Well those two roads lead to the dump in different ways so you can expect that. But she took a swipe at rednecks like rednecks are the only ones that trash the place so that tells me she’s from up north somewhere and wants to come down here and straighten everything out. If that’s a fact, she might want to go back home because she’s not going to tell this redneck what to do. Thank you.

Wednesday 6:50 pm.

Hey this is Dennis Dean. The eight years I attended college, my parents did not give me a dime. I never borrowed any money. I did not get any scholarships or any Pell grants. I took full load each semester. I got a job and paid for all my books and tuition. It was not easy. I graduated with a 3.86 GPA. When I finished, I owed no one a dime. I believe in the American dream. With hard work and determination you can reach your goal in life whatever that may be.
