An open invitation was issued for to the 2015 Sailors-of-the-Year and Flight Instructors-of-the-Year Recognition Banquet on Friday, February 20 at Sikes Hall, U.S. Naval Air Station Whiting Field.
Count on an interesting evening as we meet he outstanding Sailors and Flight Instructors, and become more aware of what is happening in the maritime Service world around us.

What: Recognition Banquet. Dinner is your choice of either roast beef or chicken stuffed with spinach and mozzarella cheese. Please indicate your choice when you RSVP. If no choice is indicated, roast beef will be provided.
Where: Sikes Hall at U.S. Naval Air Station Whiting Field.
When: Friday, February 20, 6:30 p.m. arrive, social hour, 7 p.m. Present the colors, then invocation, introductions, then dinner
8 p.m. Brief business meeting, installation of Navy League officers and board
8:05 p.m. Program – Speaker: CAPT Todd Bahlau, USN, commanding officer of NAS Whiting Field, followed by individual recognition of sailors and flight instructor.
10 p.m. Wrap up of social time and goodnight to all
Cost: Sailors / Flight Instructors-of-the-Year and spouses/dates – comes as our guests. Active duty personnel – $15 per individual. Navy Leaguers and Community Friends – $25 (to show community appreciation and cover costs for outstanding guests).
Dress: Through the years S.O.Y.s and F.I.O.Y.s have been in service dress uniforms: Active military – service dress blue or equivalent, Civilians – business / cocktail dress
RSVP: Please RSVP. Indicate choice for dinner, and pay in advance at the Santa Rosa county Chamber of Commerce. Call 623-2339 by Tuesday, February 17. NAS Whiting Field and TAW5 Personnel, please RSVP and pay the TAW5 Commodore’s Secretary and call 623-7555 by Tuesday February 17.
