A 22-year-old Milton man died and two are in critical condition after a vehicle crash on County Road 191 Saturday.
The man's identity has not been released by Florida Highway Patrol pending notification to next of kin.
According to the FHP press release, he was driving northbound in a 1999 Hyundai sedan around 4 p.m. Saturday. Javier Calderon-Hernande, 20, was in the passenger seat.
When the driver failed to yield to the right of way, he entered into the path of 26-year-old Nicholas Kotona, who was traveling eastbound on State Road 4 in a 2006 Ford truck.
Kotona, who was not wearing a seatbelt, swerved to the left to avoid collision, but was struck on the right side by the front of the sedan. The collision caused the truck to roll several times and land east of the intersection. The sedan came to a final rest on the north shoulder of the road.
The driver in the sedan was pronounced dead on scene.
Calderon-Hernandez, of Milton, and Kotona, a resident of Jay, were both transported to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola. They are both listed in critical condition.
FHP's Traffic Homicide Investigations is investigating the crash to determine if alcohol was a factor.
