LETTER: Support Christian TV and radio ministries

Dear editor,

While the anti-Christian element is alive and well, so is Jesus Christ. Christians will be celebrating the risen savior at Easter, Praise God.

This supporter of Christian radio and TV ministries since 1973, who came alive in Christ through them, is now compelled to share what they proclaim and what the world desperately needs, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Many don’t attend church precluding their access to what Jesus Christ suffered for all providing salvation, eternal life. A favorite, Joseph Prince, is emphasizing a healing this whole month.

If the agony of Christ’s scourging and flaying doesn’t make one accept His sacrifice for all, to receive Him as Lord and Savior, to be “born again” (John 3:7; Romans 10:9 and 10), I don’t know what will.

If preachers accurately presented His sacrifice frequently, I’m sure the Holy Spirit would produce more conversions.

If more preachers dwelt on end-time prophecies, a favorite of mine, hearers would be doers busy about the Father’s business. Getting ready to meet our Maker is of paramount importance. Some believe Christ’s second coming is imminent.

My heart is grieved because some believer’s don’t like Joel Osteen, et al. Like Christ, he’s an encourager. His father, John Osteen, a blessing, was kicked out of the Southern Baptist Association because he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit speaking in tongues. Thank God he and his son ignored criticisms of some “brethren” and “sisters."

God blessed John Osteen with a 50-year ministry starting over again in a warehouse. Joel did not attend seminary, labeled “cemetery” by some, but God is certainly using him and his wife who preaches the Word, too.

Christians who cannot love and forgive missed the message of Calvary, all about love and forgiveness. Jesus empowers all to love and forgive by His all-sufficient grace. Hallelujah!

I love John 17 where Jesus prays for all.

God bless us all as only He can.
