
Authorities have removed the body of a black adult male this afternoon from the water at Mayo Park in Milton. Law enforcement is currently on scene. Rich Aloy, the public information officer for the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office, said the incident occured around 3:48 p.m. when a witness called 911 after seeing the male fall into the water.
Aloy said first responders from the Milton Fire Department were first to arrive on scene, however the male had already drown upon arrival. Aloy said the identity of the male will not be released until his family is notified.
