Due to mandated security requirements, access to the Naval Air Station Whiting Field Golf Course will be restricted to patrons with authorized base access. The public access gate on the north side of the course is now closed.
The NAS Whiting Field Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) department is currently developing a guest card program that will allow civilian players access to the course following a standard vetting process. Until the package is established, public players must be accompanied by another golfer with authorized base access to play the course.
Players wishing to use the course should call the golf course clubhouse at 623-7348. A golf course representative will provide current information about the guest access package and can take contact information to call back once the process is in place. Once the guest access package is completed, it will take about three days for a patron to be cleared for entrance to the installation and for the MWR guest card and MWR guest vehicle pass to be issued.
Once authorized, patrons wishing to play the NAS Whiting Field golf course should access the installation via the east or west gates. A driver’s license, registration, and insurance paperwork will be required at the gate as will the MWR guest card and MWR vehicle pass. The west entrance gate to NAS Whiting Field is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is located on Langley Rd off of the FL-87. The east entrance gate is open from 5 a.m. until 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. until 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The east gate is closed on holidays and weekends. It is located on East Gate Rd off of Munson Hwy (FL-191).
