Coastal Avengers capture second in World Series

The Coastal Avengers finished their baseball season with an overall record of 49-7.

The USSSA World Series was held June 24-27 in Gulf Shores, Al. 39 teams were entered into the four-day tournament Boys 8u and Under Coach Pitch AAA Tournament.

Out of 39 teams entered into the World Series, The Coastal Avengers captured second place in the four-day competition. They finished the tournament with a record of 10-2 scoring 122  runs during the 12 games. The Avengers averaged 9.18 runs per game and only allowed  their opponents an average of 5.57 runs per game.

In the Florida Panhandle  State Tournament  held June 14, The Avengers finished with only one loss and four wins.

On June 7 The Avengers competed in the Governor’s Games 600 Point Dual Berth. They were recognized for finishing with the highest scoring average from all the teams entered with 9.75 runs scored per game. They finished the tournament with a record of 3-1.

The Avengers season record is 49-7 with a tournament record of 21-5.
