Demonstrating the arts

The 26th Annual Riverwalk Arts Festival will be held Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9 in Downtown Milton.  This year’s event will be held on South Willing Street and the All County Youth Art Exhibit will be located in the Exchange Hotel at the corner of Elmira St. and Caroline St.  The hours on Saturday are from 10 a.m. through 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. Numerous volunteers, community organizations, artists and performers will be on hand to ensure visitors have a great time.  Judges will hand out over $6,000 in prize money to lucky artists. 

The All County Youth Art Exhibit Awards ceremony will start at 9 a.m. on the performance stage at the Riverwalk South Gazebo.  Entertainment will feature Santa Rosa County School Choirs, Bands, and dance teams along with other bands, performers, dance teams and choirs.  A children’s fun zone, face painting, and children’s creation station will also be part of this year’s Riverwalk Arts Festival.

There will be a wide variety of fine artists and heritage artists displaying their wares.  We will have a chair caning demonstration, Native American flute demonstration, and other heritage artists will be demonstrating their craft. 

The food court will host a wide variety of foods and treats to sample, from barbecue to seafood, oriental and beyond.

On Sunday morning there will be an awards banquet for participating vendors at the Blackwater Bistro.
