Santa Rosa Sheriff’s office reports responding to a call from a local medical center this week, describing traumatic injuries to a 6 month old child; detectives immediately responded to the medical center.
During the course of the investigation, Detectives report obtaining enough information to arrest of Joseph Shawn Walker, 27, Milton, cruelty towards child, aggravated child abuse. Deputies report the child received a skull fracture, extensive bruising to the head and face area, bruising to the abdomen shoulders and back. Reports said the child was struck multiple times with his hands and fists because the child would not stop crying. The child is in intensive care at this time. Walker is being held without bond.
