Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes

Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes is part of the American Diabetes Association’s Stop Diabetes movement and the signature fundraising walk taking place in 144 cities across the United States to help raise money to help change the future of diabetes.  Participants will join the movement by registering and recruiting co-workers, friends and family members to walk and raise money. The day of the event is a party to celebrate the fundraising accomplishments of our teams and individual participants as well as an opportunity to promote awareness about diabetes in the local community and the Association.

Join us at Maritime Park on the beautiful downtown Pensacola waterfront!  Walkers will begin at 9:00 A.M. and take off on a 5k Walk around downtown Pensacola and back to a finish line party and Health Festival with fun activities for people of all ages. This will be Pensacola’s 21st Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes!

The goal is $100,000, 65 Teams, 800 Walkers, ONE Day for ONE amazing purpose- to Stop Diabetes. November 8, at Maritime Park, 449 W. Main Street, Pensacola. Registration begins at 8 a.m., walk Begins: 9 a.m. Diabetes Expo begins at 10 a.m.

Monies raised through Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes will help fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes; deliver services to hundreds of communities; provide objective and credible information; and give a voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
