After individual interviews Monday and public interviews Tuesday, the Santa Rosa County Commission offered the county attorney position to Roy Andrews of Milton. Andrews is a partner in Lindsay & Andrews, P.A. and represents the city of Milton, Santa Rosa County Property Appraiser, Santa Rosa County Tax Collector, Santa Rosa Bay Bridge Authority, and Capital Trust Agency.
The commission directed staff to begin negotiations including salary and start date with Andrews. If negotiations fail, county will offer the position to the second and then third ranked candidates, Lori Tetreault of Port Charlotte and Stephen Todd of Riverview.
The commission received 34 resumes in response to the position advertisement. At the June 12 commission committee meeting, Roy Andrews, William DeBraal, Jason English, Tiffany Sullivan, Lori Tetreault and Stephen Todd were selected for interviews. Current County Attorney Angela Jones is stepping down from the position July 31.
