Antonia King, 34, Gulf Breeze, was charged with resisting arrest and aggravated battery from an incident on Tuesday.
According to Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, King was spotted outside his Gulf Breeze residence by a nearby patrolling officer.
In the report, the officer stated that he knew King from previous encounters and was aware King had an active felony warrant at the time.
The officer made contact with King in his front yard. Upon seeing the officer, King ran towards his mobile home.
The officer told King to stop and he was under arrest.
The report said King fell while entering the mobile home’s front door, with his feet protruding from the door’s threshold.
While attempting to apprehend King, the officer stated King was assisted by several female occupants who pushed the officer away. The officer then called for backup.
Reports said the officer stated he did not want to enter the mobile home after witnessing King’s aggressive nature with balled up fists, clinched teeth and “the ‘I mean business’ stare.”
In the report, King then slammed the door against the right side of the officer’s body causing the door to come off its hinges.
Reports said after the women inside the mobile home became more and more aggressive, the officer remained outside to make sure King did not exit the structure through another exit or window.
After backup arrived on scene, reports said both officers were then able to bypass the female occupants and apprehend King.
King was charged with resisting arrest with violence and aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
King is currently in custody at the Santa Rosa County Jail and held with $39,500 bond.
Both Sara Lousie Mims, 50, of Navarre and Clara Bell Young, 59, of Gulf Breeze were also charged with resisting arrest and aggravated battery. Both were released from custody on the same day of the incident.
