Jan 11 Sun Florida Trail Maintenance Hike- Beaver Creek Rd to Peadon Bridge 8 am-1pm Blackwater Forestry Center 11650 Munson Highway, Milton, FL Patty Bee will be leading trail work to include mowing, lopping, trimming and blazing where needed. All tools will be provided. We have gloves and the tools needed but if you your have own you can bring them. Be sure to bring sunscreen, snacks and plenty of water. We'll meet at the Munson shed at the Blackwater Forestry Center at 8:00 am and pick up equipment. Here is what you will receive: Good exercise, camaraderie with like minded folks, and the satisfaction in knowing you are doing your part to help maintain a part of the Florida Trail! Jan 31 Sat Take a Walk Through Pensacola's History, Part 2 9 am – 1 pm Fort Barrancas Taylor Rd NAS Pensacola, FL This month's history walk will include historic Fort Barrancas, the redoubt that goes with the fort and the Aviation Museum. We will walk through the fort take the nature hike near by and walk to the redoubt, there is a trail to that area, afterwards we will regroup at the museum for a stroll around aviation history.
