APA of Santa Rosa County host’s charity pool event

Members of the APA of Santa Rosa County participated in a Jack and Jill Eight Ball Shoot out held at Oops Alley on Saturday, August 9th. 62 individuals participated in the charity pool tournament raising funds for the Gulf Coast Kids House.

Matt Miley is on a new adventure. He is the new owner of the Amateur Pool League of Santa Rosa and organized his first charity event in his new leadership role that will benefit the Gulf Coast Kids House.

“I love kids period,” Miley stated. “I have always wanted to be in a position to help.” As the new owner of the APA Miley fulfilled that desire at Oops Alley, Saturday April 9th as he hosted 32 teams of pool enthusiasts who love the sport and also wanted to be part of helping children.

“We also have numerous volunteers here today helping,” continued Miley. The proceeds from the event are to provide assistance to the Gulf Coast Kids House. In addition to the tournament there were numerous silent auction items that had been donated by area business. The proceeds will also be donated to the Gulf Coast Kids House as well. Oops Alley provided prizes for the winners of the tournament.

APA is a nationally known organization with over 280 leagues. Opportunity for leagues to participate are offered several times weekly at Oops Alley.
