Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reports Carolyn Jordan, 54, Milton died Thursday, succumbing to her injuries in a three car accident on Highway 89 on June 6. Reports said the accident sent Jordan and three children to the hospital with serious injuries. FHP reports said Patrick James Delcambre, 63, Jay, was traveling northbound on 89, directly behind Krista Boyd, 45, Pace. Reports said Jordan was traveling southbound on 89 at the time. Boyd slowed to take a right turn onto Blue Basket Farms from Highway 89. Reports said Delcambre swerved left into the southbound lane to avoid Boyd’s vehicle and hit her in the rear. FHP said Delcambre hit Jordan’s vehicle and Delcambre’s vehicle began to roll on its left side and came to rest facing west on its side. Jordan’s vehicle came to rest facing east in the west shoulder of Highway 89, reports said.
Boyd’s vehicle had herself and three children with no injuries and one senior citizen, Yvonne Boyd, 77, Lexington, SC. Delcambre had minor injuries and no passengers, and Jordan’s vehicle had three children passengers, reports said. The case remains under investigation by the FHP Traffic Homicide Unit.
