First Presbyterian Church

Church services are held at 10:30 each Sunday morning. First Presbyterian Church is located at 5203 Elmira Street in historic downtown Milton. This Sunday, the first Sunday of Advent, the topic of the sermon will be “A Hope Filled People.” Bible study classes are held in the Fellowship Hall Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. There is a nursery for infants and toddlers. All are welcome. If you would like to attend our church but have no transportation you may contact Linda Lade at 623-0017. She will arrange for a church member from your area to transport you. We welcome all visitors and encourage you to attend if you are new in the area or looking for a church family. As our church is an historic building and the oldest church in Santa Rosa County we are in need of refurbishing. To raise the needed funds we are collecting cans and metal. Bagdad United Methodist Church

Please join us as we begin our 2014 Advent Sermon Series this Sunday, November 30 with a sermon Light for the World. Our Holy Scripture will be Mark: 13 32-37. 

New Visions Services begin at 8 a.m., Advent Sunday Family Service at 10 a.m. and the 9 a.m., Cafe and Sunday school. Invite family, friends and neighbors to join us as we begin our Advent journey together. Our community senior luncheon is Tuesday, December 2, at 11 a.m. This will be a combined holiday luncheon for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

First United Methodist Church of Milton

FirstUnited Methodist Church of Milton, located at 6830 Berryhill Street, Milton, holds worship services every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., along with Sunday school at 9:45 a.m.  Everyone is welcome.  This Sunday, November 30, Rev. M. Kathryn Knight will deliver her sermon “Stay Awake!”  She will be focusing on Isaiah 64:1-9 and Mark 13:24-37.   On Friday, December 5 the annual “Festival Ringers and Singers” concert will be held in the sanctuary at 5 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.  For more information and events, contact the church office at 623-6683.

St. Mary’s Winter Festival Craft Fair

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Annual Winter Festival will be Dec. 5 and 6. This two-day craft fair will be held at the historic church located at 6849 Oak Street, Milton. Day one kicks off Fri., Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and coincides with the very well-attended nearby Downtown Milton Festival of Lights Celebration. Day two festivities are Sat., Dec. 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Attend this event to purchase one-of-a-kind treasures for Christmas and holiday gifts. Vendors will offer a variety of merchandise including holiday crafts; hair accessories; jewelry from Paparazzi, Origami Owl and unique handmade pieces; hand sewn gifts; Scentsy Candles; and Tupperware. Master Gardeners will be on hand for lawn and garden consultation, and an AdvoCare representative will be present for nutrition and weight-loss needs. While visiting indoor and outdoor booths, be sure to enter our free drawing to win a special gift.

The Episcopal Church women’s group will be selling delicious gumbo while it lasts, baked goods, goodies, jams, jellies and other canned goods, and the men’s group will be grilling hamburger lunches both days.
