Dear Editor,
Why does the county commission make a simple vote on something so complicated? Santa Rosa County needs a new courthouse, we know that. But the tax payers would like to know where a new facility would be built before a vote for a tax to pay for it. It looks like the county commission wants the tax vote approved so they can place the courthouse where they wish. A great deal of the voters, me included, will not vote for a tax with an open end such as this. There have been too many back door deals in the past and this looks like another in the making. Please people, know what you are voting on, but vote.
