Main Street in Bible Land

Beth Webb, daughter of John Webb, former senior pastor who retired after 24 years of service at First United Methodist Church Pace, said they wanted to create an inviting atmosphere for the children. Mary Craven, children’s director said it is important the children are both comfortable and safe during their time at the church. “It was exciting to see the different stages,” she said.

First United Methodist Church Pace spent one year working on a re-design for their children’s church hallway. Artist Claudia White and Nancy Hammond’s final design is colorful, playful and unique, displaying an imaginative main street somewhere in Bible Land. Featuring shops called Ruth and Naomi’s Fine Dining, Samson’s Gym, Gideon’s Army-Navy, King Solomon’s Stables, Zacchaeus Tax Collector, Adam’s Rib Shack, Luke’s Medical Clinic, Peter’s Fried Chicken, Dorca’s Sewing and Crafts, Jonah’s Fish Market and Noah’s Shipyard.
