MILTON — Pensacola Habitat for Humanity March 22 hosted an open house at one of its recently completed Santa Rosa County homes at 4705 Shell Road in Milton. A year ago, HFH decided to upgrade its design options for families.
Pensacola Habitat has over 300 homes in Santa Rosa County but the Shell Road home is one of the first new models built in the County.
"We are very proud of the quality of the new homes that we are building, and the value that they add to our community," John Reble, Habitat Board Member and City of Milton Fire Chief, said.
Pensacola Habitat has made some recent changes that allow homebuyers to choose their location, floor plan, and some of the refinements of their home, such as stone columns and premium vinyl siding. Buyers are limited only by what the organization has available at the time and what the family’s household budget can afford.
"If you haven’t seen a Habitat home in the past year or so, you haven’t seen a Habitat home," Executive Director Tim Evans said. "We want to let people know that Habitat home ownership is a great way for a family to purchase a high quality home at an affordable monthly payment."
Additional open houses will be held at 4705 Shell Road from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7, April 28, May 12 and May 26.
For those interested in learning more about the Habitat program, at 6 p.m. April 9 Pensacola Habitat for Humanity will be holding a New Applicant Orientation at the Pensacola State College Milton campus.
