NAS Whiting Field celebrated the Christmas season with the lighting of the base tree in front of the command building. Children came from the base Child Development Center, led by SoRoyal Sinclair, lead teacher, and Jocelyn Griffin, preschool teacher (pictured). They hung their handmade ornaments, sang “Jingle Bells”, and helped NAS Whiting Field Commanding Officer Captain Matthew Coughlin (pictured) throw the switch to light the tree. The children and those in attendance enjoyed cookies, donuts, hot chocolate, and juice afterwards provided by the Morale Welfare and Recreation Office.
