An ice storm is something we would never expect to get in Northwest Florida, but when it happened in late January, everyone sprung into action, just like it was a tropical storm. Gulf Power presented a plaque of thanks to the Santa Rosa County Emergency Operations Center for its help and partnership during the storm. It was a great effort and together we weathered the storm and together we got the lights on, says Robin Punyko, manager for Gulf Power in Milton. Hahn said they were able to use Gulf Power's online outage map to let callers know if trucks were on their way and how close they were. AARON LITTLE| PRESS GAZETTE
