A Milton man was arrested for battery Thursday after pushing his father into a closet after an argument, reports said. Charles Edward Bradshaw Jr., 40, Sycamore Street, Milton pushed his father after demanding he put a shotgun together and the father refused. The father, Charles Bradshaw Sr. told deputies the argument started after Bradshaw Jr., had wrecked the family car earlier in the evening. Reports say Jr. pushed his father into the closet; Bradshaw Sr. bit his son’s right index finger when he was pushed to the floor. Bradshaw Sr. said his son, along with another family member helped him off the floor of the closet.
Santa Rosa County deputies report Jr. was heavily intoxicated and had dried blood on his right index finger and a small abrasion near his right eye. Deputies said when they questioned Jr., he said he had an argument with his father but did not explain what caused the argument.
Reports said Bradshaw Jr. was arrested and taken into custody. He was charged with battery on a person 65 years of age or older (domestic violence) and held without bail in Santa Rosa County Jail per state statute.
