Pace man arrested for stalking and battery

A Pace man was arrested Tuesday for battery, intimidation, stalking and obstructing justice, harassing in 3rd degree. Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office reports William Cody Langham, 29, grabbed a victim by the throat and lifted the victim off her feet, carrying her several steps before slamming her to the ground. Reports said she landed on a tree root. The victim stated to deputies she blacked out during the incident. Another witness took the victim to West Florida Hospital for treatment. Reports also said Langham was sending threatening text messages to the victim before the incident and continued afterwards saying he was not afraid of the law and insinuating she would be physically hurt, causing the victim to live in fear. Langham also began sending threatening text messages to the victim the same day. Reports said Langham was intending to intimidate her with the intent to cause or induce her into not testifying in the case. Department of Children and Families was contacted. Langham was arrested and held in Santa Rosa County Jail with $7,000 bond.
