The Charter Foundation, a private foundation endowed in 1994 by CharterBank formerly Charter Federal Savings and Loan, has donated $5,000 to each of three local benevolent or educational organizations. The recipients of the annual donations are determined by CharterBank customers through a vote held in each region where CharterBank has a full service location.  Awarded the $5,000 grants in the Milton, Pace, and Pensacola area for 2014 are: Santa Rosa Kids House, Manna Food Bank and ARC Santa Rosa.

The voting program allows CharterBank customers to vote for three local nonprofit or charitable organizations to each receive a $5,000 Foundation grant.  The Customer voting program is held each summer with voting taking place during June and July. These grants are in addition to The Charter Foundation’s regular application grant cycles in May and November. Customer support of the program is vital, and indicates their desire to support organizations in their community.

“By involving CharterBank customers in the Foundation’s grant program, we underscore that CharterBank is not only involved with the local community, but is also directing its support toward the organizations and causes that our customers hold dear,” said CharterBank CEO Robert L. (Bob) Johnson.
