‘No’ on the courthouse was the right decision

Dear Editor,

The vote for the courthouse failed and all the blame falls on the county commissioners. Two words made it impossible to vote for the tax, NON BINDING. To me and it seems some others, the commissioners were setting themselves up to do whatever the wanted (good ole boys) with the tax money if it had passed. Then there is the $50 million price tag. That's for the building, how about the furnishings? That would be another $20 million or so. Remember the palace that was built in Tallahassee?  The commissioners caused the tax vote to fail, plain and simple. They expect the tax payers to trust them but we don't. There has been too much underhanded dealings. A ‘no’ vote was the right vote.
