Kinsey Qualifies in Circuit Judge Race

Veteran Assistant State Attorney Jennie Kinsey filed paperwork at the Capitol today to run for Circuit Court Judge.  Kinsey, who served as an Assistant State Attorney in the First Judicial Circuit for 14 years, plans to stress in her campaign the importance of a non-partisan and independent judiciary, as well as the fair and equal application of the law. 

Kinsey, who graduated from the University of West Florida and FSU College of Law, has extensive trial experience. As an Assistant State Attorney, Jennie Kinsey personally handled over 9,000 cases. Her most recent assignment was in the Major Crimes/Homicide Division which included Murder, DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide trials.

“Fair and equal justice should be our goal,” Kinsey said. “I’d like to continue serving the public by bringing my knowledge of the law and trial experience to the job of Circuit Court Judge.”

The Primary Election for Circuit Court Judge will be Tuesday, August 26.
