Jaycee Floyd had two great games, two games that benefited the Milton Panthers girl’s basketball record. Her teammates followed Floyd’s lead and together they beat Pace High School 54-43 and West Florida 47-33.
Against the Pace Patriots Floyd shot 6 for 7 field goals, hit 6 free throws, dished out 4 assists, grabbed 3 steals and had 19 rebounds. Her teammates also contributed with Ashley Johnson finishing the night with 12 points, 1 assist, 1 steal and 4 rebounds. Lexi Worrell added 11 points, 1 assist, and 7 rebounds.
Keren Haygood had 5 points, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 5 rebounds. Sirilla Gandy chipped in 6 points, and 1 rebound. Paige Brown out 2 points on the scoreboard, 1 steal and 2 rebounds for the Panther win.
The Panthers grabbed 37 rebounds for the night against the Patriots.
The West Florida defense could not do anything to contain Floyd as she finished for that win with 27 points. Lexi Worrell added 10 points, Ashley Johnson 7 points, Keren Haygood followed through with 4 points for the win.
Milton fell to Pine Forest High School 64-26. Lexi Worrell led the Panthers with 13 of the teams 26 points. Ashley Johnson added 8 points, Jayci Floyd with 4 points, and Paige Brown with 1 point.
The Lady Panthers will host Washington at home Thursday night at 5:30 and 7:00.
