Saturday evening Milton Police Department responded to a traffic crash involving a pedestrian at the 5400 block of Dogwood Drive, Milton. Charles M. Smith, 57, attempted to cross Dogwood Drive, according to reports, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling south. Smith was transported to West Florida Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, reports said. The incident is under investigation, said Milton Police Chief Greg Brand.
