Traffic on State Road (S.R.) 281 (Avalon Boulevard) between Interstate 10 and south of Moors Lodge, in Santa Rosa County, will encounter intermittent lane closures from 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23 to 6 a.m. Monday, Feb. 24 as traffic is transitioned on to the newly constructed northbound Mulatto Bayou Bridge. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. Traffic flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Variable message boards are being utilized to inform motorists of the change in traffic pattern.
All activities are weather dependent and may be delayed or re-scheduled in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are reminded to travel with care through the work zone and to watch for construction equipment and workers entering and exiting the roadway.
