No power chair access during Riverfest

Dear Editor,

On the 4th of July, my wife and I, both 100 percent disabled, came to Milton at 10 a.m. so we could leave before it became hot. We parked in the center of town and went down Willing Street. When we got ready to leave we found out we could not. The sidewalk chair ramps were blocked and we could not get my wife’s power chair down the blocked street. It was walking room only. We finally had to go all the way around the block. By the time we got back to the car I was in a lot of pain as there is no place to sit and rest. We are in our 70s and 80s. If you are going to block every thing off you need to put signs up at the head of the street saying power chairs are not allowed.
