Speak Out
Wednesday 6:24 p.m.
This is Bobby. I saw in Wednesday’s paper where Raymond commented on my last speak out column. I don’t even understand what he’s trying to say. He said that I need to get a grip and if I don’t pray for my leaders I should stop talking about them. I haven’t said a thing about any leader. I commented about a program at a tax sponsored college that excludes one segment of the population which I said was racist and I still think it is. He might like it because it includes a certain segment but if it’s a tax sponsored college, anything they have should be open to all people. It has nothing to do with a leader or praying.

This is Dennis. While President Obama and congress twiddle their thumbs, our border is in a state of collapse. While border agents babysit and change diapers, neglecting other parts of our borders, I wonder just how many terrorists have just walked across our border. I’m not positive, but I believe we have laws on the books that these people should be deported for illegally entering our country, but they’re not being deported. They’re being bused and flown all over America. Have we become a country that selectively chooses to enforce some of the laws but not all of the law? Without the rule of law, our country will fall into chaos.
Wednesday 8:43 p.m.
This is Ron. I got today’s paper and the first Speak Out is Monday at 4:40 p.m. I know the person that called in and is so naïve they wouldn’t put their name. These people are sending their kids over to the United States so we can feed them and clothe them and then Obama is going to turn them into democrats so we can keep the Democratic Party going. That’s the only reason. They need to get them back across the border where they belong. If you’re so rich, send your money down there and feed the kids. Us working people and retired people don’t have that kind of money to keep wasting on all these people that are coming into the country. It’s about time somebody did something about it. Thank you.

This is Bobby. I was listening to the radio and TV about all the kids coming across the border from Mexico and South America. They said if the kids get here, we’ll take care of them and we’ll try to find the parents and bring them here, too, to take care of them. Well that’s kind of rewarding them for abandoning their kids. In this country, if you leave your kid in the house and run around the corner to the store and they find out about it, they’ll put you in jail for child endangerment. They turn them loose for 1,000 miles and they reward them and bring them here. Just thought it was kind of backwards. Thank you.
Friday 2:14 p.m.
This is George. I want to speak out about the sidewalk around Spencer Field. I thought when they were doing that, “What a waste of money.” I was very disappointed. However, it’s completed now. I’m seeing the use it gets and I was totally wrong. That is a very useful piece of work. They spent a bunch of money but it’s really worth it. I think all the people that are using it, it’s good for their health; it’s good for the community. So, whoever did that, I want to thank them. Good bye.

Yes, I’m from Pace. A bunch of your readers have wondered why you quit putting in the arrest reports with the pictures and the addresses and what they were arrested for. Do you all have a reason you took it out? Will you put it back? I’m just concerned and a bunch of readers are, too.
Editor’s note: The Sheriff’s Report with mug shots is typically printed once per week, space permitting.
Saturday 12:44 p.m.
Yes, what in the world happened to the TV Guide this week? Thank you.
Editor’s note: Thank you for calling. We’re checking on that.
