Special BANDS ON THE BLACKWATER OCT. 4

The CrossTown Band will perform the evening of the Milton Riverwalk Run 5K

Bands on the Blackwater proved to be a very big event in Milton and the concert series popularity has led the city to add another concert. The CrossTown Band will perform Oct. 4 at 5:30 p.m. This concert is in conjunction with the Milton Riverwalk Run 5k which will get underway at 5 p.m. Due to the run’s course, the concert will be held near the intersection of Elmira and Pine Street.

“We have enjoyed a great deal of success with the concert series and the number of people turning out to visit downtown Milton,” said Milton Parks Director John Norton. “So when the opportunity came to add yet another concert downtown, this provided the perfect opportunity and venue. The runners who participate in the Riverwalk Run 5K can stay and enjoy the music and make an afternoon of it in downtown Milton,” he said.

The CrossTown Band has proven to be a very popular band and will be returning after their appearance at Bands on the Blackwater earlier this year.

The CrossTown Band is a classic rock, variety, and blues band comprised of six musicians; two female lead vocalists, lead guitarist and backup vocals, bass guitarist and backup vocals, keyboards and backup vocals, and a drummer with backup vocals. All members are experienced musicians from the Pensacola area.

Their performance resume includes appearances at Pensacola Bands on the Beach, Annual Beulah SausageFest, Navarre Beach Chamber Thursday’s in the Park, numerous Gulf Coast club venues including The Sandshaker, Grand Marlin, World of Beer, Sabine Sandbar, and Paradise, and also private functions including Weddings, and Mardi Gras balls.
