A changing of the guard happened at the July 8 Milton City Council meeting when Roy Andrews, city attorney announced he accepted the Santa Rosa County attorney position, after serving the City of Milton for 31 years. In his place, he moved for Heather Lindsay to take his place. Lindsay is a graduate of the University of Alabama, and the Florida State University College of Law. She served as a law clerk to the Honorable Janie L. Shores of the Supreme Court of Alabama and as Visiting Assistant in Law at the Florida State University College of Law and is currently working at Lindsey and Andrews P.A. in Milton. Lindsay said she is glad to be home in Milton since 2008 after 20 years away. The transition, she said, should be smooth since she’s worked with Andrews so much already.
