Florida Highway Patrol reports this morning at 7:20 a.m. Jeffrey Tyler Dziuk, 19, Milton, crashed his truck into a tree on Peterson Point Road causing serious injury to both himself and his passenger, Matthew Gilbert, 21, Pace. Reports say alcohol is related. Dziuk was driving westbound in the east bound lane of Peterson Point Road and traveled from the eastbound lane onto the north shoulder where he hit a tree. After hitting the tree, he continued along the shoulder and struck a second tree. After the crash, reports say Dziuk left the scene on foot and was later caught by Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office. Reports say Dziuk was delivered to Santa Rosa Medical Center and his passenger, Gilbert was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital.
