PACE — The Elegant Tea put on by the Azalea Garden Club of Pace Monday drew over 116 people. They enjoyed small sandwiches, scones, petit fours, savory and sweet tidbits with their tea and punch.

The Pace High School Jazz Band and ensemble played for over an hour during the tea.

The decorated Pace Community Center was a blaze of pink and on each table were boxes adorned with pearls, handmade paper flowers and a tea pot full of fresh flowers.

This event is the only fund raiser put on by the club and profits are used for community events for children.

On April 21 is Fun with Gardening at the Pace Library. Call the Library at 981-7323 to sign up children.

On June 9 is Birds, Bees, Butterflies, and Bugs at the Benny Russell Park. This will be a large event inviting all community children from ages 4-12 with their parent.

Call Jean 380-2256 for information about the club.
