WCSO asks for assistance from the public in locating endangered adult

At approximately 11:26 p.m. on January 13th, Walton County Sheriff’s Office received a call for assistance in locating Joseph Wayne Brown, Sr. (aka Joey Brown), 57, of Ponce De Leon. Brown was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit at Healthmark Regional Medical Center when he left without being properly discharged. Brown was last seen wearing a hospital gown with green socks and an IV in his left forearm. He is 5’9, 160 lbs., blue eyes and wavy gray hair. Brown has a mustache and goatee. Deputies, along with a K-9 unit, searched through the early morning hours in an attempt to locate Brown. Brown has been entered as an endangered missing person due to his current medical state of an altered mental status. If anyone knows of the whereabouts of Joseph Brown Sr., please contact the Walton County Sheriff’s Office at 850-892-8186.
