A man is in serious, but stable condition after being knocked unconscious and falling into a bonfire early Tuesday morning.

Santa Rosa Sheriff's officials say one man is in jail and the other at a burn center following the incident.

Devin Bass, 24, was charged with felony aggravated battery and resisting officers, a misdemeanor. He is accused of punching Cody Healey, 26, in the back of the head and causing him to fall into the fire.  It happened at a party in the 7700 block of Springhill Road near Jay. Shortly after midnight, Sheriff's deputies, fire rescue and lifeguard ambulance responded to the call. Party goers pulled Healey from the fire before first responders arrived.

Sheriff's Spokesman Sgt. Scott Haines says additional charges may be forthcoming.
