The first South Santa Rosa Career Fair will be held on Friday at the Pensacola State College South Santa Rosa Campus.
Although the free event is intended to serve South Santa Rosa residents, it is open to everyone.
The success of previous career fairs in Milton drove Workforce Escarosa to create a fair in the southern half of the county, said Brittany B. Callahan, Outreach Representative for Workforce Escarosa, Inc. About 20 employers will be on hand.
"Job Fair attendees should always dress like they’re going to an interview," Callahan advised. "In fact, employers will often interview attendees on the spot at an event."
Employers include Mediacom Communications, Lowes, Advanced Enterprices Inc., Workforce Escarosa, PSC Student Job Services, PSC Human Resources, Landrum Staffing, Dominos Pizza, Kelly Services, Lifeguard Ambulance Services, Pep Boys Auto, Gulf Breeze Courtyard, Aerotek, Sodexo, Bay Breeze Nursing & Retirement Center, The Blake at Gulf Breeze, Maurices, Synergy Solutions, The Villas at Gulf Breeze, and Waffle House.
Callahan also recommended job seekers bring a resume to the event. Workforce Escarosa offers free resume classes at their Pensacola and Milton One-Stop Centers.
"Having someone else look over your resume is always a good idea," Callahan said.
WANT TO GO? The free job fair will be held Friday from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the Pensacola State College South Santa Rosa Campus located at 5075 Gulf Breeze Parkway.
