Bell dies Tuesday afternoon from crash injuries

Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in a one-car accident that left a man dead from a Monday night accident.

The Florida Highway Patrol says David Willis Bell, 40, Jay, was driving north on Hazel Godwin Road, north of County Road 184 when he lost control of the 2008 Dodge truck he was driving.

The truck traveled to the west side of the roadway, hitting several trees. Bell was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle, landing in the road, according to the report filed by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Bell was taken to Sacred Heart Hospital in critical condition. He died Tuesday afternoon.

His passenger, Cheyanne Coty Bishop, 22, Milton, received minor injuries and was also transported to Sacred Heart Hospital.
