The Circle K on Avalon Blvd. near the Interstate was robbed early Friday morning, according to Santa Rosa Sheriff's officials.
At approximately 0150 hours, the deputies responded to a hold up alarm at 2665 Avalon Blvd (Circle K). While en route dispatch advised the deputies that two black males armed with a firearm robbed the store and fled the area.
The suspects possibly ran around the south side of the store heading west on San Jose St. Other deputies responded and assisted in searching the area. A sheriff's K-9 attempted a track which lead to an area where it is believed the suspects left in a vehicle.
The first suspect was described as a black male, 5’09", approximately 180 lbs., and having a medium build. He was wearing a red "skull cap", black pants, and a dark shirt. This suspect pulled a black revolver half way out of his left pocket and showed it to an employee, according to deputies.
Reports say the suspect told the employee to go into the office and give him money. The second suspect was described as being approximately 5'8 to 5’9 with a medium build. He was wearing a grey "hoodie" and a bandana over his face.
The two men were able to obtain cash from the front register area. Prior to leaving the scene, the suspects also took several cartons of cigarettes.
At this time, the robbery is still under investigation. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
