A Milton man has been arrested after stabbing another man several times in the back, according to Santa Rosa Sheriff’s reports.
Kristopher T. Keefer, 36, Stardust Trail, Milton, is accused of stabbing the victim, a male who authorities have not identified, in the back following an altercation. Witnesses say the pair had been arguing all day.
Sheriff’s Officials say deputies were dispatched to the area of Stardust Trail Saturday night. The fight was over when they arrived. Lifeguard Ambulance arrived on scene and paramedics began to tend to the wounds of the adult male victim, who was transported to an area hospital.
Deputies say they gathered statements from witnesses and determined Keefer stabbed the victim several times in the back. Witnesses said the violence followed an attempt to “talk it out” in the street. It was at that point a fight began. Keefer, who was armed with a knife, stabbed the victim.
Keefer was taken to an area hospital where he was checked for injuries. He was released into the custody of waiting deputies and was arrested. Keefer was taken to the Santa Rosa County jail and as placed on a $25,000 bond. Keefer was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Sheriff’s officials say the victim is in serious condition at the hospital.
