Leadership Alumni to give funds to Santa Rosa non-profit

Leadership Santa Rosa Alumni and its Board of Governors have developed a new program that awards $2600 in unrestricted funds to a nonprofit organization based in or participating in Santa Rosa County.

“The scenic beauty and the people are what make this county excellent. We are helping create a better county through a small reinvestment in our citizens,” stated CRD Jonathan A. Lewis, SRL Alumni of Class 25. The Leadership Santa Rosa Alumni Board of Governors want to make sure the funds go to an organization that is an established IRS section 501 (C) (3) nonprofit and that the funds are spent in Santa Rosa County.

Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for the R.I.S.E. award and can find the application on the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce website www.srcchamber.com under Community Events. Organizations are required to write a 600 words essay. The first 300 words explain what functions the organization performs in Santa Rosa County. The second 300 words should provide a goal or vision of what the award will be used for should the LSR Alumni Board of Governors choose the organization.

Applicants can email submissions to the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce at director@srcchamber.com or mail submissions to Leadership Santa Rosa Alumni BoG c/o Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce, 5247 Stewart Street, Milton, Florida 32570.

The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2013. For questions regarding the R.I.S.E. award please contact Wendy Ritz, President, Leadership Santa Rosa Alumni Board of Governors at 463-7366.
