Monday — 11:56 a.m.
I know it's terrible, but I remember when Santa Rosa was dry, people were more commonly nice than everyone to have a case of beer early in the morning to transport it to the track or something. Woman and older people, they carry these cases of beer, so early in the morning.
The thing is, on Highway 90, one church, and wine, liquor store, another church and another liquor store. It's so sad. Too many people there buy in the morning, too many drinking, between that and the drugs and the tobacco, and no people have to have fun anymore.
If they get drunk, they get sick, or they get in a wreck, hurt someone, what is to have fun for? We don't have time to have fun if we don't kick out. Come on guys, give me the beers, give me the cigarettes. And just sit down over there at Blackwater River, the plaza, or Carpenters Park and feed the ducks.

Hi, this is Betty. I'd like to see us put in the Okaloosa County arrests along with Santa Rosa and Escambia County. They're adjacent to us. There are people over there that have family over there or are just interested. Thank you. Bye.
Tuesday — 7:34 a.m.
Yeah, this is Mary, a concerned senior citizen. I'm hearing that there's a meeting at Crestivew at a church, where the NAACP is going to come and explain the affordable health care people that have needs.
I'm wondering how they can explain it, when the government officials can't. Nobody knows what's in it. And it's going to be very unaffordable to all the people. The doctors are concerned because they have gone to school for many, many years to learn their trade, and then they're going to get cut. It's going to cut Medicare. It's going to raise it so high, until it's very hard to keep it. Thank you.

Yes, this is Chet. I was reading the Sept. 21 edition. And the opinion from the Press Gazette was 'Too Late for this Tree,' which I thoroughly enjoyed.
It reminded me of Joyce Kilmer's famous poem, The Trees. But now at least the hardcore, right wingers can call you tree huggers, now. Thank you and have a very good day.

Hi, this is Denise. I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I'm trying to get some help for my brother who does not have a lot of extra money. He needs cataract surgery very bad. His eyes are very bad. We don't have money to pay for it.
I've tried going to the health department through the We Care program. They don't have any doctors that participate. I've tried going through The United Way, they were going to hook me up with The Lions Club and that's been since March and here it is, almost October, and I've not got any calls back on this.
If anyone knows who can help indigent people, or people that don't have a lot of money, how to get some kind of eye exams, or eye surgery, that would be great.
If you could let the Press Gazette know, maybe we could get in touch and get some help for these people that really need it. Thank you.
