Navarre resident and Northwest Florida State College instructor, Jimmy Chandler, will present a hands-on class, "Introduction to the Classical Guitar" at the Navarre Library located at 8484 James M. Harvell Road. Chandler, who holds a master’s degree in classical guitar, will teach classes on Saturday, June 29 and Saturday, July 20, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. No reservation is required.
The sessions will be presented at no charge and the public is invited to explore the history of music in Spain and Brazil through the classical guitar during the Renaissance. Participants are asked to bring their own instrument as they see how Beethoven can be played on a classical guitar.
